SMIL - Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language
The purpose of this assignment was to learn about integrating different kinds of multimedia by using SMIL.

What is SMIL?
SMIL - The Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language - is a language for creating interactive audiovisual presentations.
It is typically used for multimedia presentations which integrate streaming audio and video with other media types such as images and text.
Since the SMIL syntax close to HTML syntax it is very easy to learn if one have some HTML experience.
SMIL:
- stands for Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language
- is pronounced &quout;smile&quout;
- is a language for describing audiovisual presentations
- is easy to learn and understand
- has HTML-like syntax
- is written in XML
- presentations can be created using a simple text-editor
- is a W3C standard
Unless you have Internet Explorer 5.5 or later, and the SMIL presentations you're trying view are embedded in a HTML files, you will need a SMIL player such as RealPlayer.
